You have some great examples! Do you have any lucite furniture in your home? It seems like it would be less expensive than wood. Is this true?

I went to a meeting at someone's home two years ago, and she had a lucite coffee table. I thought it was strange at the time!

Ciao Alkemie,

I found your question about how I renovate in Italia out of Beijing... it is not easy. You are welcome to visit my bog www.palazzopizzo.blogspot.com
I just wrote a post about decision making via email.

You have a great blog! Like it and will be back.

Don't get me started on Lucite! I adore it. It has an amazing propensity to mix well wit ultra mod just as well as it does with vintage. Such range!

It's also fun to see the resources you've listed. Not that I needed more places to spend money...but it's great have new inspiration.

I particularly love the long dining table. It takes up so much room but seems light as air in Lucite. Lovely!

These are all great, but I especially like the dining table by Acrylic Innovations, and that buffet is really quite charming!

I must agree!!
I have a weak spot for lucite furnishings. Your place must look spectacular! With revived vintage chairs, lucite tables and I can only image what else you have stored up in your place. Please show photos of your space, I'm dying to see!!!

Love the Comments!

Things that Inspire - Like what Franki said...I also adore Lucite and definitely have Lucite pieces mixed in my home. It really does have a unique way of being able to blend with different styles - this is good for me since I can seem to stick with one style. Lucite has been very popular in past eras and it is more expensive than wood on the whole. Some pieces are quite reasonable though. The problem is that you have to spend extra money on the shipping if the manufacturer or store that offers it is not near you. There are fewer manufacturers of Lucite furnishings when you compare it to wood and you need expensive equipment to be able to manufacture Lucite.

Franki Durban - I totally know what you mean LOL. More places to do damage. Uggh.

Suzie - Thank you. I've visited both of your blogs. Great way to know what is happening on your side of the world ;) I think it's amazing what you are doing with the Palazzo.

Jenn - Thank you. I'll try to post more photos when it is actually complete. Not quite there yet...

Beachbungalow - so glad you liked the coffe table.

Patricia - I'm still gazing at your most recent post of your work. Sensational!

Great photos as well as pieces. When I next change my décor I will look carefully at incorporating this in my final decoration. Check out our blinds at http://www.meritblinds.co.uk for ideas on window treatments.
