She is an incredibly versatile designer who also holds a real estate
license and general contractor's license along with her design degree.
She is the proud owner of The Jackman Group which is her design
company and owns a successful home furnishings company which she
runs with her daughter called Seaside Home.
I was really drawn to her above design. The color palette and
sophisticated yet inviting design really attracted me.

wall - juxtaposed with a wild zebra chair and modern
but classy furnishings.
She seems to have an asian element in many of
her designs. I for one, am not objecting to that -
nor am I objecting to the very inviting wing chair
in velvet.
also likes animal prints. She does not over
do it though. Just the right touch of it in
the overall scheme of things.
which I adore the floor tiling she used.
the same slabs of granite for the flooring. Very neat!

ha....you are back and much better I am sure :)
That Mandarin chinese art, I love it!!
And that bathroom....what can I say, except to dream of having one.
happy weekend :)
I'm very fond of that particular red at the moment. And, if someone gave me the inlaid wood cabinet I would say "Oh, ok then"
To be rich... But we'll have some fun at the second-hand store that the rich people miss out on!
Thank you so much for your comments, they made my day!!

Dear Karen!
I really hope you are feeling better! Allergies are sooo nasty and annoying and irritating...
About the designer. I like how she uses symmetry. Symmetry could be boring, - but here, to the contrary, it's very charming! Her colors are great, - very nice for the eye to rest upon! ...Actually, after looking so much onto those beautiful photographs, I start loosing words: instead I want to do something, create something, get a new piece of furniture, add some decoration, - even simply buy a fresh flower bouquet :) ... and keep on investigating the details of those photos :o)
My best wishes,
Natalie
P.S.: I can't express how thankful I am for all your caring words! It makes me a much happier person to know that there is someone who can listen and understand. Not just someone, but a person I deeply admire! :o)
Congrats to your feature in the Post!!

I am in love with the first shot - the mix of pink, blue, white, gold and black is so eye-catching! Beautiful post!

Ooooo. I love it! Beautiful interiors! Love all the mandarine elements!
The zebra covered carver (armchair?) is truly elegant, with its small back. Love it!
Great post, Karen! I love Jackman's work and actually Harrison Howard, an artist friend of mine in San Diego, knows her and she has featured his work before. He introduced me to Seaside Home and her work and I am so glad to see you featuring it! Thanks!
Glad to see you back! These images are gorgeous! I especially loved the ones with purple flowers towards the light blue wall, and accented with brown wood and leather furnitures!
