Christmas Inspirations ~ Part I ~ Trees and Decorations

The end of the Thanksgiving Holidays has traditionally marked
the beginning of Christmas. Many of you probably have your
trees already or are preparing to get them. I thought it might be
appropriate to have this week dedicated to Christmas inspirations
from across the pond. Christmas Trees and Decor we shall
start with.

Can't decide on a tree or you are traveling for the holidays?
Who says you can't have a chair as a tree! The fabulous pink
chair above shows just how a chair can become your Christmas
tree instead.

The festivities don't have to start in the house, they can
most certainly start outside with these extremely easy
to set up candles in paper bags. All you need is some sand,
marbles or rocks of some sort to weight the bags down.

Instead of a traditional wreath, you could string together
a large cluster of ornaments to become your door front
adornment instead. Not exactly a wreath, but every bit
just as festive.

Why not make your own Christmas cards with your own
photography or left over scrapbooking materials? It's
easy to print out a photo to glue it into a card.

Display a bowl of ornaments inside your foyer.

Or you can put them in any number of places and areas
around the house from the hallways to your dining table.

I thought this was a really fun idea, a Post-It tree
on a mirror. No mess, no fuss and easy to clean.

If you're more at traditionalist, there's nothing
like the smell of a fresh Christmas tree.

But in our modern times, Christmas isn't limited to
green and red anymore. Pink and silver anyone?

Or perhaps a neon theme with neon colored ornaments.

The white Christmas tree has quite grown on me. It looks
awesome with just about any color. Check out Treetopia
for white, red, pink or even blue trees.

Here's a navy blue tree with all white
ornaments. Pretty dramatic I would say.

A monochromatic Christmas can be just as gorgeous.
Ever thought about using paper cut outs for decoration?

You can give more color to your tree just be
coordinating the ribbons for the ornaments.

Gingerbread house anyone? How about a
popcorn or marshmellow decorated tree?

Oversized ornaments really give a
whimsical but fun way to decorate.

If you like vintage or older items, there's always a
way to work that into your Christmas decor too.

And last but not least for today, Ferrero Rocher candies
are gorgeous in a bowl for guests. You can put them in
the foyer so guests can take a couple on the way in or out.
It's also great in the middle of a coffee table. They are
quite addictive and the gold foil is very festive for Christmas.

More inspirations to come this week.

I'm loving each and every photo. I'm such a big fan of bright colors for Christmas, and using ones own photography for cards is such a special gift. Great ideas!!!
