Thomas Britt ~ A Palm Beach Home with a Wonderful Color Palette

Thomas Britt designs preetttyyy fabulous rooms and homes.  He has
a wonderful way of mixing color with layers and textures.  He blends
all of these things together in a way that manages to be soothing and
dramatic at the same time.  Not an easy feat to pull off.

I really love the color story he uses for this Palm Beach home.  It's
not a color combination I see often and it's very nice.

He always manages to choose really
great rugs to incorporate in his designs.

He always manages to strike the right balance of form
and function when it comes to his furniture choices.

Again, notice the striking rug.  In this room,
he painted the ceiling a gorgeous blue.

When you live on the ocean, it's all about the view and outdoor dining.

What a gorgeous and comfortable bedroom.  What's the verdict on this
Thomas Britt design?  My favorite was his color scheme.  What's your
favorite element in his design?

I love the color palette, and adore the art. Britt is from Kansas City as well!

Now you went and messed everything up. I had finally chosen a purpleish blue and pale yellow color scheme for the venetian plaster walls in my new office but I had started out with the pink/orange idea you show here. I am now wavering again!!! Oh the agony of indecision!

Love the colour scheme - undecided on the striped carpeting.
Think it might be tiring on the old eyes :)

The master is beyond beautiful, I love every element. Not too much the rest, I have a friend in Houston who has a huge & lovely contemporary home set on 2 acres of woods, which he originally painted all these Santa Fe colors, the peach, salmon, wasn't long before it really wore on you. We redid the house, which already had marble floors and took out all the color on he walls & curtains and it made a huge difference and it seemed so much newer, you know?
I mean, does this look kinda 70's?
It's still pretty though. xx's

The colour scheme is so 80s! Very dated.

I do however like the stripes on the outside furniture (classic) and quite like the use of the blue ceiling with the white walls - something different! In a bright room it shouldn't feel too closed in.
